Extreme Survival Club! welcomes fan works.

We see fan creativity as a way to enjoy the work and an important activity that expands its world and characters.

When unsure, consider whether your activity could cause trouble for the creators, other fans or third parties.

These guidelines primarily cover fan works made as a hobby by individuals or fan circles.

Please consult us about corporate use or commercial use substantially beyond ordinary fan activities.

• Enjoy creating without fighting with other fans.
• Be considerate of creators, fans and third parties.
• Do not use other people's works or assets without permission.
• Do not present your work as an official work or product.

• Infringing third-party rights
• Presenting content as official
• Using official logos or assets unchanged as the main part of merchandise
• Defamation or harassment
• Content primarily intended to recruit for or promote political or religious activities
• Content contrary to laws or public order and morals

We do not categorically prohibit adult, violent or graphic fan works. However, you must follow these requirements.

• Follow the posting service's terms
• Observe age restrictions
• Add appropriate warnings and content gates
• Separate sensitive content from audiences who do not wish to see it

The following reinterpretations are permitted.

• Outfit changes
• Modern-day reinterpretations
• Alternate universes / AU
• Crossovers
• Your own interpretations of character relationships

If your work differs substantially from the official setting, make clear as needed that it is a fan work, parody or original interpretation.

The following are permitted for individuals and fan circles acting within the scope of a hobby.

• Doujin publications
• Comics and fiction
• Illustration collections
• Music and videos
• Small-scale fan merchandise
• Distribution at events
• Online shops
• Standard monetization on YouTube, Niconico, Twitch and similar services
• Publishing on pixivFANBOX, Patreon and similar services

Uses requiring consultation

• Corporate use
• Mass production
• Business use substantially beyond ordinary fan activities
• Products likely to be mistaken for official merchandise
• Selling games, apps or software

These guidelines do not grant blanket permission to freely reuse official images, illustrations, music, logos or other assets from the website, game, social media or promotional videos.

Where assets have individual usage conditions, follow those conditions.

Screenshots and gameplay footage may be used for ordinary introductions, reviews, commentary and streaming.

Redistributing official assets themselves, or selling merchandise that uses official assets almost unchanged, is prohibited.

Fan works made with generative AI are not categorically prohibited. However, all of the following rules must be followed.

1. Clearly state when a work was made primarily with generative AI.
2. Do not use the official fan art tags #限界サバイ部FA or #ESClubFanArt for AI-generated works.
3. Using official illustrations, character references, game images or other official assets for AI training, further training, LoRA creation or training dataset creation is prohibited.
4. Do not use AI to imitate another creator's works or style without permission.
5. Do not use models, assets or services that infringe third-party rights.
6. Publishing in a way that could be mistaken for an official work is prohibited.

Supporting uses of AI, such as proofreading, translation, brainstorming and image editing, are not automatically classified as AI-generated works.

Copyright in fan works belongs to their creators. Publishing a work does not transfer its copyright to us.

We may feature works on our official social media accounts.

If we wish to use a fan work commercially, such as for merchandise, we will generally contact the creator individually.

• We are not responsible for disputes arising from fan activities.
• We may be unable to answer questions about individual interpretations.
• These guidelines may be updated as needed.
• If a serious problem arises, we may individually request that a use be stopped or content removed, even when it falls within these guidelines.
